Jam Cafe is a Kiwi owned and operated family business with your hosts John and Mel and was officially opened on 17th August 2009.

John has been a baker specialising in cakes, breads and pastries and has also been a bakery manager and a sales rep, bringing a wealth of experience of over 20 years in the food industry to Jam Cafe.

Then John met Mel and between them while having a fast paced lifestyle and living life to the full they recognised a gap in the market where they could not find great coffee and food to go in a hurry.  John and Mel could have set up a franchise but they wanted something original and fresh and that is how Jam Cafe was created.
